Following WWEโ€™s landmark announcement that its premium live events will move to ESPNโ€™s new streaming platform in 2026, Paul โ€œTriple Hโ€ Levesque appeared on ESPNโ€™s Get Up to celebrate the historic dealโ€”and he didnโ€™t hold back on the hype.

Triple H called the agreement a โ€œperfect marriageโ€ between the worldwide leader in sports entertainment and the worldwide leader in sports: โ€œWhat we consider the worldwide leader in sports entertainment to be with the worldwide leader of sports and entertainment, ESPNโ€”thereโ€™s nothing bigger. Thereโ€™s no bigger opportunity for us than this right now.โ€

He also emphasized how joining the Disney family, under which ESPN operates, marks a major milestone: โ€œOn top of that, to be in the Disney family, so to speak. Weโ€™re thrilled and canโ€™t wait to get rolling.โ€

Triple H drew comparisons between WWEโ€™s biggest spectacles and ESPNโ€™s broadcast legacy: โ€œFrom my point of view, nobody does large-scale massive events like ESPN. Super Bowl, all of it. Itโ€™s what you do, and itโ€™s what we like to think we do better than anybody else on the planet.โ€

He added, โ€œThis is the perfect marriage. When we get together, things like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble are going to be bigger than ever. Theyโ€™re going to be more of a spectacle than theyโ€™ve ever been before. Weโ€™re going to light the world on fire.โ€

As PWMania.com previously reported, WWEโ€™s deal with ESPN is worth an estimated $325 million per year over five years, starting in 2026, making it one of the most lucrative media rights agreements in company history.

All 10 of WWEโ€™s premium live events will stream on ESPNโ€™s new $29.99/month direct-to-consumer platform, with select shows simulcasting on ESPNโ€™s linear TV networks.
