This was revealed by longtime commentator Tony Schiavone during McGuinness’ match against Katsuyori Shibata in the Continental Challenge Cup Tournament. Although McGuinness won the match, it was reported that he could be out of the tournament due to his injury.
Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that sources confirm McGuinness’ injury is legitimate, and he will be unable to continue in the tournament.
