The opening segment of Saturday’s Lucha Libre AAA showcased a clash between two powerhouses: Omos and Galeno. The match was ultimately stopped by the referee after Omos repeatedly attacked Galeno with steel steps. Omos didn’t stop there; he went on to assault the other match officials with the same steel steps before throwing them into the ring. He then put Galeno through the commentary desk and returned to the ring, intending to throw the steel steps at Galeno.
At that moment, WWE Hall of Famer and AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio intervened, stopping Omos from carrying out his plan. In retaliation, Omos lifted Mysterio into the air for a Chokeslam. Just then, Dorian Roldan and AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio entered the ring. Roldan urged his ally to put Rey down, while Dominik encouraged Omos to execute the Chokeslam.
Eventually, Omos set Rey down. Mysterio then grabbed a microphone and announced Omos’ indefinite suspension from AAA. In response, Omos struck Rey with a powerful right hand that sent the WWE and AAA Hall of Famer flying out of the ring.
