Pro wrestling veteran Viva Van officially signed with AEW in December 2024, building on her years of experience working alongside many of the talents there. While she was proud of this achievement, she declined the standard social media graphic declaring “Viva Van is All Elite,” believing she still needed to earn that title rather than receive it as a signing bonus. Due to her low-key approach, rumors have circulated about her actual contractual status with AEW.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, it was confirmed last week that Viva Van is, indeed, on salary with All Elite Wrestling. Therefore, fans on social media can stop demanding that she be signed full-time, as that has already happened.
Van trained with WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi and wrestled for AAA during its pre-WWE era. In May of last year, she won the Vietnam Pro Wrestling Women’s Championship by defeating Yuki Kamifuku.
