After an almost two-year absence, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., finally returned to AEW TV and aligned with Persephone at All In: London. She intervened in Persephone’s TBS Championship match against Maya World, helping Persephone secure the title. Baker had last competed for AEW in November 2022 before her extended break.
During a recent edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about AEW’s plans for Baker moving forward, including the possibility of her becoming a champion again after her return at AEW All In: London. He indicated that Baker has “a really good chance” of winning either the TBS Championship or the Tag Team Championship within the next six months, depending on her new alliance with Persephone.
Sapp mentioned that if Baker’s partnership with Persephone does not last, she could pursue the TBS Championship on her own. However, if they continue to work together, Baker may focus on the tag team scene and aim for championship gold alongside Persephone. It was also noted that Deonna Purrazzo had previously expressed interest in teaming with Baker, which could provide her with another opportunity in the tag team division.
While Baker has shown interest in a rematch against Mercedes Moné, it appears that such a challenge is not expected in the immediate future. Sapp noted that Baker is currently not slated to compete for the AEW Women’s World Championship, which Moné won from Willow Nightingale at All In: London.
