AEW star Kevin Knight spoke with Paige B. for The Tap Out Tea about various topics, including his relationship with fellow AEW star Mike Bailey.
Knight said, “You know, we got to make business decisions. And Speedball, we go way back, even before AEW. He was such a influence on my career because he’s been wrestling twice, three times longer than I have. So, he’s shown me the ropes. And you know, just being in the ring with somebody like a Speedball puts you in the best position against top talent. With him, immediately I got to wrestle with the Young Bucks, got to team with Kenny Omega. Immediately got to wrestle Will Osprey, all the top guys in AEW — FTR. And we got to share those experiences, and we grew a lot.”
On turning on Bailey:
“But when I felt like I was ready to go on my own, I had to cut the cord, had to cut the dead weight. Ever since then, Jet been flying high, man.”
