Scopely has announced an exciting crossover event for the WWE mobile game, WWE Champions, featuring the beloved anime series Cowboy Bebop. This limited-time event, titled “Bounty by Moonlight,” will run until Sunday, October 4. During the event, players can expect a complete takeover of WWE Champions, showcasing Cowboy Bebop’s iconic characters and aesthetic as bounty hunters go head-to-head with both current and legendary WWE Superstars.
The crossover will include exclusive gear that allows WWE stars to transform into characters from Cowboy Bebop. For example, Trick Williams will don Spike Spiegel’s gear, while Sol Ruca will sport attire inspired by Faye Valentine. Bray Wyatt will also have clothing themed around Jet Black.
In addition, each character will feature special entrance and victory animations that accompany their new looks within the WWE Universe. Players can also use the promo code “COWBOY” to unlock Trick Williams as a 5-Star Bronze character, who is a two-time NXT champion.
WWE Champions is currently available for both iOS and Android devices. Cowboy Bebop has recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of its American broadcast debut, having first aired on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block in September 2001.
