AEW World Champion Will Ospreay has made it clear that his focus remains firmly on All Elite Wrestling, despite continuing to face questions about WWE.
During a recent interview with Brandon Kravitz, Ospreay was asked whether he had grown tired of being questioned about WWE rather than his work in AEW.
The British star acknowledged that such questions come with being a prominent figure in professional wrestling, but emphasized that he would much rather discuss AEW and its contributions to the industry. “I know it’s a part of the gig. People always ask, and I can only give my opinion. I don’t really care about it,” Ospreay said. “I’d rather focus on AEW, and I’d rather focus on what we’re able to do here and what I believe AEW is doing to change the face of professional wrestling.”
Ospreay went on to express his enthusiasm for AEW’s product, particularly its approach to professional wrestling and what the company represents. “I love what we present. I love what we do. I love our wrestling. I love everything that we’re all about,” he continued. “So, I couldn’t really care less about any other promotion.”
While Ospreay understands why comparisons between WWE and AEW continue to come up during interviews, his comments suggest that he has little interest in shifting attention away from his current company.
As AEW World Champion, Ospreay remains committed to representing the promotion and highlighting what he believes makes its wrestling product stand out.
