AEW may have begun laying the groundwork for Toni Storm’s return, as mysterious cassette tapes connected to the former AEW Women’s World Champion surfaced during Saturday night’s WrestleDream 2026 pay-per-view.

The unusual recordings emerged during the October 17 event in Orlando, Florida, with select individuals reportedly receiving packages containing tapes that offered a bizarre look into Storm’s personal life.

Content creator Astrid Pizarro revealed on X that she was among those who received one of the mysterious packages, although she did not identify who was responsible for distributing them.

The cassette was wrapped in brown paper stamped with the word “Confidential.” The packaging also featured the words “Play Me” and a red lipstick imprint.

The recordings, presented as a collection titled Mundanities, feature narration from AEW personality Renee Paquette, who introduces several tracks documenting various aspects of Storm’s life.

The opening recording, titled “Morning Mantra,” features Storm delivering a characteristically unconventional motivational speech. “Today, I choose misery, conflict, and hostility in all that I do. I exude fragility, pettiness, and an unfillable void to everyone I see,” Storm declares. “I have no control or responsibility for my thoughts, emotions, and actions. I have everything I need and nothing I want.”

Storm continues with an increasingly dramatic assessment of her physical and emotional condition. “I face the day with resentment and scorn. My mind is a mess. My heart is in shambles. And my body is barely holding it together like an over stuffed garbage bag. But damn it, I am timeless. All right, let’s start the day.”

Another track, titled “Chanty,” focuses on Storm’s 12-year-old cocker spaniel and features the former champion speaking to her pet in an increasingly outrageous manner. “Oh, Chanty. That’s a good boy, Chanty. Who’s a good Chanty? Take a chance. Take a chance, Chanty. Oh, what a beautiful boy. Now, you listen to me. I own you. I created you, and I can end you. You are nothing without me.”

Storm then makes it clear that she expects to remain the center of attention whenever visitors arrive. “When company comes over, they’re here to see me, not you. It’s not a time for your little tricks or performances. It’s not amateur hour with Chantsy. It’s my time.”

The collection also includes a track titled “Seminar,” featuring Storm offering advice to aspiring professional wrestlers. “Lesson number four, if you want to make it in this business, you’ve got to get yourself a cool hat,” she states.

Another recording, titled “Cinema,” is introduced by Paquette as “chronicling the failed production of her self-funded, unreleased major motion picture.”

The final track, “Death,” concludes with Paquette announcing, “These are the Toni Storm Tapes.”

The mysterious recordings come amid Storm’s extended absence from AEW television.

The former AEW Women’s World Champion has not appeared on programming since the March 18 episode of Dynamite, when she was discovered bloodied backstage ahead of a scheduled match against Marina Shafir.

During the WrestleDream post-show media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan addressed Storm’s status and confirmed that she “will be back in AEW.” However, Khan did not provide a specific date or timeframe for her return.

While the cassette tapes appear to be part of a developing storyline involving Storm, AEW has yet to confirm whether they signal an imminent comeback or the beginning of a longer creative direction for the former champion.
