Hulk Hogan’s widow, Sky Daily, and her son, Hayden Hitt, are facing allegations in two separate civil lawsuits, while authorities in Clearwater, Florida, have clarified that an investigation connected to one of the cases remains open.
According to TMZ, a woman identified in court documents as Jane Doe has filed a lawsuit against Daily and Hitt, alleging that Hitt repeatedly became physically aggressive towards her while she was living at their residence.
The plaintiff claims that Daily encouraged her to forgive Hitt following earlier incidents. She further alleges that an altercation occurred during a party on March 28, when Hitt allegedly shoved her through a doorway and into a clothes rack.
According to the lawsuit, Daily subsequently sent the woman a text message apologising for her son’s behaviour and suggesting that they discuss the situation the following morning.
However, Jane Doe claims she contacted law enforcement instead. She alleges that Daily then removed her from the residence and placed her belongings outside, while Hitt allegedly attempted to persuade her to delete text messages and avoid pursuing criminal charges.
The lawsuit also raises allegations concerning the handling of the subsequent police investigation, claiming that the matter was quickly closed because of Daily’s purported influence within the Church of Scientology.
Clearwater Police have disputed that account of the investigation’s status. Authorities confirmed that an investigation was opened in March and that the case was subsequently forwarded to the Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney’s Office for consideration of possible criminal charges.
Police have maintained that the investigation remains open, contradicting the lawsuit’s suggestion that the matter had been closed.
Meanwhile, a separate civil lawsuit involving Daily and Hitt has also emerged, containing allegations relating to an incident involving minors.
In that case, a minor identified as Jane B. Doe alleges that she was sexually assaulted by another minor while incapacitated. The lawsuit further alleges that Hitt stood guard outside the room while the alleged assault took place.
Both Daily and Hitt are facing negligence allegations in connection with the second lawsuit.
The two legal actions involve separate sets of allegations, and the claims made by the plaintiffs have not been established as fact.
Neither lawsuit has resulted in a finding of civil liability against Daily or Hitt. The reported referral of the first investigation to prosecutors also does not, by itself, establish that criminal charges have been filed.
The allegations remain subject to the relevant legal proceedings.
