Adam Copeland thinks WWE and AEW stacking the deck for their head-to-head showdown tonight is a good thing for all involved.
“The Rated-R Superstar” recently appeared as a guest on The Masked Man Show to promote his AEW in-ring debut at Dynamite: Title Tuesday tonight against Luchasaurus.
During the discussion, the former WWE Superstar known as Edge explained why WWE and AEW stacking the deck for tonight’s head-to-head showdown is a good thing.
“Who cares [if] โIโm only this guy, Iโm only this guy.โ This is awesome,” Copeland exclaimed. “How can you not enjoy the fact that both shows are trying to load up and trying to put the best show on imaginable? Thatโs all I really care about. Iโll try to make sure that my part of the show is all killer, no filler. Thatโs my only job.”
Copeland continued, “Iโm sure both will get watched, when itโs all said and done with DVR and however else it gets computed since everything with ratings is so antiquated. Itโs fun. I remember flipping back and forth between Nitro and Raw. Thatโs kind of what this is. I donโt see that as a bad thing at all. I think itโs great. The performers themselves, there is none of this weird tribalism. Within any industry, sure, there is competition, but Iโm happy for those guys and theyโre happy for us. When there are choices and there is another company that can push the other company, thatโs when you get the best stuff.”
