AEW Collision Review – April 20, 2024
Trios Match
TNT Champion Adam Copeland, Eddie Kingston & Mark Briscoe vs. Top Flight (Dante Martin & Darius Martin) & Action Andretti
Action Andretti starts out with Mark Briscoe with both exchanging moves early on and Andretti eventually getting the better of the exchange.
Briscoe backs Andretti into the corner and tags in Adam Copeland & he took over on offense. Andretti retaliated and tags in Dante Martin.
Dante got a flurry of offense and tags in Darius Martin & they doubled up on Copeland for a bit until Copeland regained the advantage on Dante.
Copeland tags in Eddie Kingston & he kept up the offense as the show went to its first picture in picture break.
After the break Kingston was still on offense before Dante hot tags Darius while Kingston tags in Briscoe. Darius cleaned house for a bit.
Andretti dove onto Copeland on the floor while Dante dove onto Kingston.
Briscoe hit exploder suplexes on Darius & Andretti then both teams double clotheslined each other. Andretti traded blows with Kingston.
Copeland hits an Impaler on Dante while Briscoe hits Jay Driller on Darius.
That leaves Andretti was alone in the ring.
He received a backfist from Kingston and a spear from Copeland before Briscoe connects with Froggy Bow for the win.
Winners: TNT Champion Adam Copeland, Eddie Kingston & Mark Briscoe
After the match the lights went out. Brody King & Buddy Matthews were on the big screen. Matthews said that they should all thank each other because in 24 hours at Dynasty, the House Of Black will eradicate all their dreams. Malakai Black enters the frame and addressed Adam Copeland. He said that they will dig so deep that they will reach their darkest fears and they will wonder if they are close to hell. He said that in a way hell will feel familiar because for people like Black & Copeland, hell is where the heart is. King barked.
We get a video recaps the events of Wednesday’s Dynamite between AEW World Champion Samoa Joe & Swerve Strickland.
Powerhouse Hobbs vs. CJ Esparza
Powerhouse Hobbs makes CJ Esparza tap out to the Torture Rack.

After the match Don Callis took the mic and said that The Don Callis family is the talk of professional wrestling. He hyped the Bunkhouse Brawl between Blackpool Combat Club, Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita. He said out of concern for his personal safety, he will not be at ringside. He then hyped Hobbs vs. Jon Moxley for Wednesday’s Dynamite. He said he was responsible for Kenny Omega’s IWGP Heavyweight Title win in 2017. He said he was responsible for the biggest match in Japan history in 2018 Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho. He added that the match set New Japan wrestling on a course of success that they enjoy to this day. Callis said that in return for this, he might one day ask New Japan for something in return. He added that he has cashed in all his favor chips and announced that Moxley vs. Hobbs on Dynamite will be for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.
A video previewed Will Ospreay vs. Bryan Danielson at Dynasty.
After the break we get a video recap of the FTW Champion Hook & Chris Jericho segment from Dynamite.
Chris Jericho then cut a backstage promo & He apologized for his actions on Dynamite and said that he didn’t blame Hook for his reaction. He added that when Hook had him in the corner, he said he would show him how good he was anytime and anywhere. Jericho said he will take him up on that and went to Tony Khan and had the match made for Dynasty for the FTW Title. He said that the learning tree will teach Hook the hardest lesson…the lesson of humility and losing something that means the world to you. He added that he didn’t just want to make Hook a better wrestler but also a better person. Jericho said what happens at Dynasty will hurt him much more than it hurts hook.
The Gunns started to walked away before Tony Schiavone announced per Tony Khan that if The Gunns walk out their match at Dynasty is cancel.
Coleton Gunn ask what happens if they don’t wrestle tonight & said he will see everyone tmr.
Schiavone was about to repeat what Tony Khan say but the Trios Champions The Acclaimed threw The Gunns into the ring.
Tag Team Match
Trios Champions The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) vs. The Gunns (Austin & Coleton)
Both teams brawl as the brawl continues heading into a picture in picture break.
After the break The Gunns had the advantage on Max Caster until he hot tags Anthony Bowens.
Bowens cleaned house & hits Fameasser on Colten for a near fall.
Colten attempted to pin Bowens with his feet on the ropes but was caught by the referee.
The Gunns gained several near falls on Bowens then Bowens tags in Caster.
Caster went for the Mic Drop on Colten but Austin crotched him on the ropes.
Bowens took down The Gunns before Caster recovered and hits Mic Drop on Austin for a near fall.
Caster went to roll up Colten from outside of the ring but Colten sat on Caster held onto Jay White’s bat to get the win.

We look at the Blackpool Combat Club attacking the Don Callis Family on Dynamite.
Bryan Danielson talks about feeling alive but he wonders what Don Callis is up to. Tonight he gets revenge on Konosuke Takeshita and tomorrow he gets Will Ospreay. Cue Ospreay to say he had nothing to do with Takeshita attacking him because he wants Danielson at 100%. Danielson doesn’t seem convinced.
Toni Storm, in color to show what happened to her is not pleased with Thunder Rosa putting paint on her face. Rosa wants to bring her to hell but she makes love to demons every night.
Tag Team Bunkhouse Match
Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli) vs. The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher)
The Don Callis Family attacks Blackpool Combat Club while they made their entrance & both teams brawl around ringside.
Konosuke Takeshita hits Claudio Castagnoli with the ring bell hammer while Bryan Danielson chokes Kyle Fletcher with a tie.
Takeshita had the advantage on Castagnoli until Castagnoli caught him in the giant swing.
Danielson hits him with a dropkick coming out of the swing for a near fall.
Fletcher threw a chair at Danielson’s head and threw salt in Castagnoli’s eyes and hit a powerbomb for a near fall.
Danielson was bleeding as we went to a picture in picture break.
After the break the brawl continued as Danielson DDTs Takeshita on the ramp.
Fletcher brought in a chain & Takeshita went to hit Danielson with the chain but Castagnoli & Danielson caught Fletcher & Takeshita in LeBell locks.
Powerhouse Hobbs ran in and attacked Danielson & Castagnoli.
Jon Moxley ran in and brawled with Hobbs into the crowd.
Danielson blocks a top rope powerbomb on a chair by Takeshita.
Castagnoli threw Takeshita out of the ring and clotheslined Fletcher with the chain.
Danielson then hits Busaiku Knee follow by locking in a chain assisted LeBell Lock & Fletcher taps out.

After the match Danielson took the mic and said a lot of people wondered why he would wrestle a Bunkhouse match on the eve of his big match with Will Ospreay. He said it’s because when some people think of heaven, they think of streets of gold or 40 virgins. He said his spirit is in the ring and when he dies, heaven will be him bleeding in front of the fans in Peoria, Illinois. He closed by saying he would beat Ospreay’s ass at Dynasty.
We get a recap of the Mixed Tag Team Match from Dynamite.
Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale & Stokely Hathaway were backstage. Statlander said they were fired up which when abbreviated stood for F U. Hathaway said FU to Brody King & TBS Champion Julia Hart. Nightingale said that a confident champion wouldn’t hit her opponent with a chain days before the title match. She promised to powerbomb Hart through the match and said I’m walking out with the TBS Title, you b*tch.
Skye Blue vs. Leyla Hirsch
Skye Blue attacked Leyla Hirsch at the opening bell before Hirsch slams Blue off the ropes for a near fall. Hirsch climbed the ropes but fell off.
Blue hits a face slam followed by a dragon sleeper for the submission win.

Trios Match
The Elite (Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada, Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) vs. FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) & PAC
Kazuchika Okada & PAC started out before FTR & PAC works over Okada for a bit until Young Bucks pulled Okada to the outside then both teams brawled on the floor.
Back in the ring FTR & PAC held the advantage on Okada.
Okada rebounded and tags in Matthew Jackson but FTR & PAC works over Matthew.
Matthew tags Okada back in and the offense against him continued.
Both teams brawled on the floor again as the show went to a picture in picture break.
After the break Matthew was working over Cash Wheeler before Wheeler made the hot tag to PAC & he cleaned house.
PAC & Dax Harwood hits a spike piledriver on Okada for a near fall.
PAC attacked Young Bucks on the apron and was hit with a kick by Okada.
Okada distracted the referee as Young Bucks rams PAC into the stairs.
Okada held the advantage on PAC through the final picture in picture break.
After the break PAC tried to fight back by hitting a tilt a whirl backbreaker to Nicholas.
PAC hot tags Harwood & he cleans house then we get tons of action by all 6 men.
Okada & Harwood exchanged blows before Harwood put the sharpshooter on Okada which was broken up by Young Bucks with a double superkick.
The Elite hits a triple superkick in Harwood then Matthew hits a top rope elbow for a near fall.
FTR hits a superplex/splash combination on Matthew followed by a 450 splash by PAC for a near fall.
Both teams brawled again before Young Bucks hits Shatter Machine on PAC for a near fall.
They then hit EVP trigger for another near fall then FTR hit a Shatter Machine on Matthew and threw Okada out of the ring. Okada & Nicholas attacks Harwood on the floor.
Wheeler dove onto Nicholas & Okada then in the ring PAC hits Black Arrow on Matthew for the win.
Winners: FTR & PAC
After the match The Elite attacks FTR & PAC before Daniel Garcia ran out and everyone brawled in the ring. PAC locks Okada in Brutalizer until Young Bucks pulls him to safety.
