All Elite Wrestling (AEW) recently announced on their Twitter (X) account that the annual Continental Classic (C2) tournament will officially begin on the November 18th episode of Dynamite. This episode will take place at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado, and will serve as the post-Full Gear show.
The Continental Classic is a round-robin tournament featuring 12 wrestlers who compete in singles matches across the Blue and Gold Leagues. The winner will earn a shot at the AEW Continental Championship at the Worlds End event. The inaugural edition of the tournament was held in 2023 and won by Eddie Kingston. Last year’s C2 was claimed by the current champion, Jon Moxley.
Additionally, AEW held its first Continental Challenge Cup over the summer, which Moxley also won, successfully defending his title. He defeated Nigel McGuinness in the final at All In: London last month.
