WWE held their annual Holiday Tour show last Tuesday, December 26th from Madison Square Garden in New York City, a show that featured CM Punk competing in his first match back with the company in nearly 10 years. In a singles match, he defeated The Judgment Day’s “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio.
According to Fightful Select, last Tuesday’s show from Madison Square Garden is set to be one of the company’s most successful Holiday tours in terms of financials, and the company was also very pleased with the buzz that the MSG show got in general.
The report also states that the Punk vs. Mysterio match was viewed well over a million times throughout various social media platforms and websites and WWE even decided to stock the merch stands up with Punk shirts for the MSG show.
WWE filmed some stuff at the MSG show, so it will likely be shown on future episodes of television.
Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was reportedly not at Madison Square Garden for the show.
