In the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp addressed a fan’s question about MJF’s involvement and influence in the booking of the AEW World Title and the main event scene.

Sapp reported that MJF has “a major influence” on the programs he is involved in and contributes creatively to some extent. It is unclear whether this creative input is part of his AEW contract, but the company has known for some time that he plays a significant role in creative decisions.

When asked if MJF influences the creative booking for other main event wrestlers, such as Swerve Strickland, “Hangman” Adam Page, or Jon Moxley, Sapp expressed his belief that MJF does not have creative control over other AEW main event talents, aside from the programs he is directly involved in or with talent he has personally worked with.

The fan also asked how other wrestlers feel about MJF’s influence, to which Sapp noted that some wrestlers prefer not to have any talent exerting creative influence, stating that he has rarely heard of wrestlers viewing it as a positive.

MJF has been absent from AEW programming since losing the World Title to Kenny Omega last month at AEW Dynamite: Beach Break. He is scheduled to compete this Wednesday on AEW Dynamite in a three-way match against Nick Wayne and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. The winner will earn the #2 spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In: London. Additionally, MJF will appear in the upcoming film, Violent Night 2, alongside David Harbour and Kristen Bell, which is set to be released in theaters on December 4th.
