WWE star and professional wrestling veteran Bayley’s in-ring career officially began on September 19, 2008, when she teamed with Shane Ballard in a tag team match at a Big Time Wrestling event in Newark, California. Bayley joined WWE in 2012 and played a significant role in revolutionizing women’s wrestling alongside fellow Horsewomen Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Mercedes Moné (formerly known as Sasha Banks).
Recently, Bayley took to her Instagram to reflect on her 18-year journey in wrestling. She expressed gratitude to everyone she has crossed paths with over the years and thanked her current colleagues for constantly challenging her to become “a little better” every day. She also shared pictures from her recent Lodestone training camp.
Bayley wrote, “Today my wrestling career turns 18. The same age I was when I started wrestling. You’re legal baby! I’ve spent the last 2 weeks traveling through South America and Mexico, to running a Lodestone reunion in Texas. I’m still having some of the greatest moments of my career, all these years in. I’ve surrounded myself with people who make me laugh, embrace the journey, and constantly push themselves to be a little better every day. That fuels my heart ❤️🔥 I have too many words to say what I’m feeling today. But I’m very grateful for every match, every coffee, every locker room fire-up, every plane ride, car ride, bus ride, conversation, tear, and everything in between. How lucky am I to still live and LOVE this childhood dream?”
Bayley is currently involved in a heated rivalry with her former ally, Lyra Valkyria, on Monday Night RAW. After Valkyria attacked her at Saturday Night’s Main Event this past July, the former Women’s Champion made her return to weekly programming on the September 7 episode of RAW. Upon her return, Bayley cost Valkyria her chance to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank match and assaulted her after the match.
