During Saturday’s WWE South America Live Tour event at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile, “La Primera” Stephanie Vaquer defeated Liv Morgan of The Judgment Day to become the new Women’s World Champion.
In the match’s final stages, Morgan attempted to provoke special guest referee “The Man” Becky Lynch into attacking her by pushing and slapping the multi-time former World Champion. Lynch remained composed and ultimately had the last laugh when she stopped counting after a two-count and flipped off Morgan after Morgan hit Vaquer with an Oblivion. In response, Morgan tried to attack Lynch again, but Lynch ducked, causing Morgan to run into a kick from Vaquer. Vaquer then executed the SVB followed by the Vaquer Inferno to secure the pinfall and win the championship.
After the match, Lynch took to her Twitter (X) account to send a message to Morgan, acknowledging her role in Morgan’s loss of the Women’s World Championship to Vaquer.
Lynch wrote, “Don’t mess with Referee Rebecca, @YaOnlyLivvOnce”
Vaquer is now a two-time WWE Women’s World Champion. Her first reign was ended by Morgan at WrestleMania 42 Night One.
