Former AEW star Brian Pillman, Jr. has appeared in NXT vignettes in recent weeks, and his debut appears to be on the horizon.
The company showed him sitting in a living room watching old clips of WCW footage with references to his father and clips of various WWE Superstars from the past. However, it appears that when he makes his WWE debut, he will not be referred to as Brian Pillman, Jr.
As PWMania.com previously reported, WWE recently applied for a trademark for the name “Lexis King.” Lexis is an abbreviation for Alexis, the name of Pillman’s late sister. The name King comes from his late mother Melanie, who remarried after Pillman, Sr. died.
While this is not confirmed, word on the WWE Performance Center is that the Lexis King name has been reserved for Pillman, Jr.
