British promotion NORTH Wrestling joins New Japan Pro Wrestling on Freeview channel 281

Extreme Channel UK has partnered with Newcastle based wrestling promotion NORTH Wrestling (NCL) in a bid to bring British wrestling back to mainstream TV in Britain. To commence on Friday 6th September at 8pm, the channel will broadcast NCL’s latest huge show ‘Thunderstruck 2’ followed by two nights of classic events.

Thunderstruck 2 is NCL’s biggest show of the year and features huge British wrestling stars including Joe Hendry, Grado, Mark and Vicky Haskins, Leon Slater and more as well former WWE superstar Elijah (AKA Elias). Highlights of the show include a 4-way TLC match for the NORTH Tag Titles, plus Japanese superstar Miyu Yamashita vs. Lizzy Evo.

Thunderstruck 1 features international Attitude-Era wrestling legends Gangrel and Scotty 2 Hotty, as well as British wrestling stars including Man Like Dereiss, Lykos Gym, Sunshine Machine, Michael Oku and Robbie X. The main event is a master vs student affair, as Liam Slater defends his NORTH Championship vs Leon Slater.

The NCP Cup 24 is a premier one-night tournament, where NORTH will crown the ‘Next Big Thing’ in British Wrestling. 2023 saw popular female wrestler Rhio win the inaugural tournament and this year, we see Jordan Oliver, Aigle Blanc, Myles Kayman, Henry Faust, Trent Seven, Hard Man Dan, Joe Wade and Eve Bateman all vying for glory.
