Mya Lesnar, daughter of WWE and UFC icon Brock Lesnar, has etched her name into NCAA history with a massive win at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Representing Colorado State, Lesnar captured the Division I national title in women’s shot put, delivering a performance as dominant as her legendary father’s presence in combat sports.
Lesnar’s winning throw reached a staggering 62 feet, 4½ inches, establishing her lead from the very first round. Her second-best mark of 61 feet, 11 inches still would’ve won the event, edging out runner-up Abria Smith of Illinois by nearly an inch. The win marks Colorado State’s first outdoor national title since 2005.
Already ranked No. 1 entering the event, Lesnar backed up the hype with poise and power. The victory adds to her growing list of accomplishments, which includes a 2024 NCAA indoor shot put championship and a standout performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she placed sixth while representing Team USA.
A former Arizona State standout, Lesnar transferred to Colorado State and has continued to elevate her game every season. She previously claimed the 2023 Mountain West Indoor weight throw title and has only gotten stronger since, fine-tuning her technique to become one of the top collegiate throwers in the world.
Her personal best throw of 64 feet, 3¾ inches this season would have been good enough for a podium finish in Paris, underlining just how quickly she’s ascending in the world of elite athletics. At just 22 years old, Mya Lesnar isn’t just building a name—she’s crafting a legacy all her own.
