Darby Allin believes Mick Foley should lace up for one more match — if the itch is still there.
Foley has flirted with an in-ring return for years, getting himself into noticeably better shape along the way, though health concerns have repeatedly put those plans on hold.
Speaking on the Mark Hoke Show, Allin was asked directly about Foley potentially wrestling again — and pointed to Sting’s AEW run as the blueprint.
“It’s like Sting,” Allin said. “If he feels that the final chapter is unwritten, there shouldn’t be anything stopping him.”
Allin went further, recalling the skepticism that surrounded Sting before his in-ring comeback.
“Everybody told Sting, ‘There is nothing else you can do in wrestling. You retired in 2014 with a neck injury. Why would you come back?’,” Allin continued. “There was something in his spirit, a question that he had to answer. If Mick Foley has that inside of him, by all means, do it.”
Foley let his WWE Legends deal expire after publicly speaking out against WWE and TKO’s ties to Donald Trump.
He has since signed with AEW, where he’s already made several pay-per-view and TV appearances — including a segment alongside Allin himself.
