WWE star Drew McIntyre appeared on the Untapped podcast to discuss several topics, including Logan Paul’s impressive run in the company since joining a few years ago. However, he promises to humble The Maverick when they eventually clash.
McIntyre said, โHeโs done phenomenal. Weโve had a lot of people try to transition to WWE from every sport and entertainment area you can imagine. It doesnโt always work out. I thought Ronda [Rousey] did a great job. Kurt Angle, former Olympic gold medalist, in wrestling heโs a Hall of Famer. But Logan, considering heโd done nothing at all basically from his first match, had been incredible. Itโs not just the athletic moves he can do. Heโs a phenomenal athlete. Itโs the in-between stuff in the ring. The hardest thing in our job to figure out is who you are because if you donโt know who you are and you donโt feel who you are, and itโs not real to you, itโs not gonna translate to the fans, and thatโs whatโs most important. Itโs not all the moves, itโs the emotion that you can make people feel. He knows exactly who he is, and you can see it in his eyes when he walks out. Thatโs what I always look at, for the eye test. Are you a deer in the headlights, or do you know exactly who you are? Donโt flinch one time because youโll lose me if you flinch one time. But Logan knows exactly who he is. In between moves, he takes that time. He believes his own crap, and heโs going to go far. Heโs still very, very young. Eventually, weโre going to have a match, and Iโm going to chop him to pieces, and heโs going to be humbled. Iโm going to start stringing sentences at him as Iโm beating his ass, but heโs going to do it very well. He is doing very well.โ
