John Cena demonstrated his drawing power for WWE yet again, not only in TV ratings but also in ticket sales.
Cena returned to SmackDown on September 1st, where he did a segment with Jimmy Uso, which led to him laying out the former Tag Team Champion. On FOX, the show drew 2.443 million viewers and a 0.65 rating in the crucial 18-49 demographic.
Cena made an appearance at Payback PLE last Saturday, where he did a promo segment with The Miz before serving as a special guest referee for The Miz vs. LA Knight.
The former WWE Champion travelled to India with the company for today’s WWE Superstar Spectacular event at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium, where he teamed with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins against Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.

WrestleTix, which tracks ticket sales extremely well, examined Cena’s drawing power for the company and how many tickets he sold after WWE advertised him for shows.
The Denver show sold 856 tickets in the few days following the announcement of his appearance on the show, while Glendale sold 1,469 tickets, St. Louis sold 1,541 tickets, San Antonio sold 997, Tulsa sold 622 tickets, and Milwaukee sold 1,489 tickets.
