In an episode of his podcast, The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, TNA World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy discussed various topics, including his brother Jeff Hardy’s desire to be transparent about his inability to attend TNA Under Siege.
Matt Hardy said, โYeah, Jeff was a big advocate of that too. He really wanted to be very transparent and just be straightforward. Heโs like, โOh, come on man,โ as opposed to doing being injured, like โLetโs just be straightforward with it.โ I think Tommy Dreamer had a good point even about using it to get The Nemeths heat in what we were doing.โ
On the Nemeths understanding the situation:
โFirst and foremost, I want to say one thing I am proud of. Whenever they came out with that promo and they acknowledged like, โWeโre going to give you this title shot but weโre going to give it to you in Ontario, Canada.โ The crowd [cheers]. They said, โWeโll even make it a ladder matchโ and the crowd [cheers]. Theyโre all excited about it. And then, Nic Nemeth is like, โHey brother, heโs got a problem with the [cops], he canโt cross the border.โ He says, โOh well, guess itโs off.โ They got so much massive heat in the building. Our goal through all this was to try the best we could to get Ryan up to where Nic is in terms of heat, trying to make him a more serious legit competitor. I feel like weโre achieving that so I am very happy about that.โ
