Another WWE star appears to have been erased and no longer allowed to be mentioned on WWE programming, at least when promoting another show.
On Monday Night RAW, Michael Cole read the promo for Barmageddon, which will air on the USA Network at 11 p.m. Eastern time. Nikki Bella is prominently featured in the commercials that air on USA because she is the co-host. However, Nikki was not mentioned in the promo copy read by Cole, and he only mentioned Blake Shelton as the host.
For what it’s worth, Nikki has been critical of WWE after her contract expired because she is no longer allowed to use the WWE-trademarked “Bella” name, and things did not end well between the two parties at the end of Nikki and Brie’s contract. Nikki has also criticized the way the company has booked the women. Since then, the company has made significant efforts to improve the booking of the women’s roster.
Nikki and Brie made it official in March of this year that their WWE contracts had expired, and they are now using their real last name (Garcia) for all projects.
