Non Title Block D Match Of The 2023 G1 Climax
Television Champion Zack Sabre Jr (2) vs. Toru Yano (0)

Toru Yano attacks Yuto Nakashima and puts his robe on him & ends up backing up into Zack Sabre Jr in the aisle & once the bell sounds ZSJ chokes out Yano in the aisle then orders Kosei Fujita to tape up the corner pads so Yano couldn’t remove them.

ZSJ does a lap around ringside but missed a PK in the aisle as Yano trips him up and began to tape ZSJ’s feet together. Yano makes it back to the ring as the count out starts but ZSJ makes it back in at 19 after almost not making it after tripping over some cables.

Yano instantly rollups ZSJ for a two count but then Yano goes to undo a taped up corner pad providing a distraction as Fujita slides in some scissors for ZSJ to cut himself free.

ZSJ locks Yano in a triangle armbar before he rolls him up to get the win.

NEVER Openweight Champion David Finlay (2) vs. Mikey Nicholls (2)

Mikey Nicholls catches David Finlay with a brainbuster before things spilled outside as Finlay threw Nicholls into the guard rails.

Finlay looks to go after the cut before opting to batter Nicholls with uppercuts before clotheslines from Nicholls trap Finlay in the opposite corner ahead of a spinebuster before a superplex from Nicholls was countered into a sunset bomb by Finlay.

Nicholls looks to snatch the win with a Master Blaster but Finlay counters & hits Into Oblivion to put away Nicholls.

Block D Match Of The 2023 G1 Climax
Strong Openweight Tag Team Champion Alex Coughlin (0) vs. Jeff Cobb (2)

Match starts off with Alex Coughlin & Jeff Cobb do a test of strength but Coughlin gets frustrated as he went outside to grab his Strong Openweight Tag Team Title & that distracts the ref allowing Coughlin to grab Boltin Oleg and throw him into Cobb before Cobb gets send into the guard rails.

Back inside the ring a gutwrench suplex drops Cobb ahead of some stretching before an press slam puts Cobb down but Cobb is able to force a way back in by connecting with Spin Cycle then a standing moonsault for some two counts before Coughlin caught a splash the corner and turns it into an overhead belly 2 belly.

Coughlin connects with a deadlift back suplex and then a Black Hole Slam gets a 2 count before Cobb drills Coughlin to the mat with Tour Of The Islands to score the win.

Strong Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston (2) vs. Evil (2)

Evil attacks Eddie Kingston from behind as Kingston protested then Kingston recovers but gets trips by Dick Togo at ringside as things spilled outside with Kingston being taken into the crowd.

Beating the count out Kingston remained on the defensive as he was left swinging wildly after he’d had his eyes raked but he is able to recover to hit a suplex back inside before some Machine Gun chops drops Evil in the corner then Dick Togo for good measure.

Kingston keeps things going with a face washing boot for a two count before he got low bridged as Evil took him to the outside and uses Kingston to wipe out the ring announcer.

A Darkness Scorpion on the floor keeps Evil in control as Dick Togo tried and fails to keep hold of Kingston to cause a count out then we get more shenanigans after a ref bump as Togo looks to choke out Kingston with the garotte but Evil misses a kendo stick shot and wiped out Togo before Kingston wore them out with the kendo stick.

Evil gets hit with an exploder but we still got no ref so Kingston pulls him back in then hits a Saito suplex after Evil tries a low blow but it got a 2 count then Evil then tries Everything Is Evil only for Kingston to strike with a Backfist To The Future for a near fall before Evil uses the ref to help on a Magic Killer.

Kingston is able to get back in with an enziguiri before he locks in a Dragon Sleeper but Evil grabs the ref & Evil hits Kingston with some kendo stick show and a low blow before Everything Is Evil gets the job done.

Block D Match Of The 2023 G1 Climax
NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi (0) vs. Shane Haste (2)

Shane Haste went for the arm early but Hiroshi Tanahashi is able to get free and hit a springboard crossbody out of the corner before Haste pulls Tanahashi off the ropes as he was going for the flip senton but Tanahashi is able to recover from Haste’s assault leading him back to the corner for a slam and a flip senton for a two count.

Tanahashi gets stop with a dropkick as he went for the Slingblade before Haste caught him with a slingshot plancha through the ropes sending Tanahashi into the railings. Haste kept control back inside by landing a side suplex as Tanahashi threatened to cut him off.

Tanahashi makes a comeback by hitting Twist & Shout then a Slingblade before he headed up top and again got cut off by Haste before Tanahashi manages to land Ace’s High before the High Fly Flow puts away Haste.

Block C Match Of The 2023 G1 Climax
Shingo Takagi (0) vs. Henare (0)

Henare with a spinning heel kick takes Shingo Takagi to the outside then back inside the ring Takagi fakes out as he caught Henare with a DDT before Henare connects with a pop up Samoan Drop then take Takagi into the corner for some body blows.

A Berzerker Bomb from Henare gets a two count while a back senton off the middle rope kept Henare ahead before he counters a counter to the Rampage before he locks in Ultima but it gets broken up in the corner.

Henare hits a springboard enziguiri out of the corner then he goes for a another Rampage but Takagi counters into a DDT then a sliding lariat connects.

Takagi couldn’t get Last Of The Dragon but he is able to counter a knee in the corner into a powerbomb before a grounded head & arm choke had Henare in trouble before Takagi gets hit with a elbow to the head as Henare hits him with more strikes.

Henare finally hits Rampage for a near fall before Henare drags Takagi to the mat in an Ultima but the ropes save Takagi but he’s again cracked in the corner with a step up knee before he counters Streets Of Rage with a backslide for a near fall.

From the kick out Henare nails Takagi with another knee then with a headbutt before he finally lands Streets Of Rage but couldn’t make the cover as Takagi eventually rolls into the ropes to save himself.

Takagi connects with Made In Japan only to not be able to make the cover then he hits Henare with a lariat then goes for the cover but Henare kicks out at one before Pumping Bomber gets a two count & that led to Last Of The Dragon but Henare squirms out and nails Takagi with another hook kick then a PK.

Both men go back & forth with headbutts before Takagi was grabbing onto anything he could to make the time limit draw but it isn’t the case as Henare drills Takagi to the mat with Streets Of Rage to score the win.

Block D Match Of The 2023 G1 Climax
IWGP Tag Team Champion Hirooki Goto (2) vs. Tetsuya Naito (0)

Tetsuya Naito is horsing around & that gets him kick by Hirooki Goto before Naito retaliated with a neckbreaker on the outside then the count out tease starts but Goto makes it back but he gets caught with a cravat but he is able to get free and take down Naito with a Saito suplex then sends him into the corner with a spinning heel kick.

Goto gets hit with a swinging DDT from Naito then a top rope rana before the grounded headscissors looks to force a stoppage but Goto gets to the ropes but Naito stays ahead with some elbows to Goto but he fights back by hitting GTW from the ropes.

Both men are trading blows before Goto hits ushigoroshi for a near fall then he looks for GTR but Naito counters into Destino before a Esperanza gets a near fall before a 2nd Destino puts away Goto.

Block C Match Of The 2023 G1 Climax
NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Champion Tomohiro Ishii (0) vs. Tama Tonga (0)

Match starts off with some back & forth strikes before a shoulder tackle sends Tama Tonga flying then Tomohiro Ishii with some chops to Tonga’s neck rather then as Tonga gets taken into the corner.

Tonga is able to cut off Ishii with an uppercut then take him into the corner ahead of a Stinger Splash and a powerslam for a two count. Ishii uses elbow strikes to fight back by knocking Tonga into the corner & that prompts Tonga to fight back but Ishii sends him flying with a German suplex before some misdirection from Ishii looks to backfire as they traded suplexes.

Tonga plants Ishii to the mat with SRC before he misses a Supreme Flow as Ishii retaliated by clobbering him with a clothesline in the corner then a superplex followed for a near fall before Tonga’s dropkick turned things around as Tonga hits Tongan Twist Tonga goes for Gun Stun but Ishii counters it & allowing Ishii to hit with a powerbomb for a near-fall.

Ishii misses with sliding lariat but he pushes away a Gun Stun as that lariat eventually connects then they trade suplexes as Tonga leapt in to catch Ishii with Veleno to keep the back & forth going. Tonga is back with another DDT for a near fall before he teases Jay Driller but Ishii escapes and hits Gun Stun of his own before hitting Tonga with a lariat for a another near fall.

Tonga avoids a Brainbuster as more back & forth ends with an enziguiri before Gun Stun gets stop once more before Tonga counters a brainbuster into Gun Stun then nails Jay Driller to put Ishii away.
