Oba Femi Names Future Standouts In WWE Development

WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi spoke with Jim Varsallone about various topics, including his career in WWE and his personal growth.

Femi said, โ€œI canโ€™t fully say that Iโ€™m all the way comfortable. Everyoneโ€™s still growing and no one is ever just the best. No one is above growth. Everyone keeps learning every day, no matter how experienced you are. I donโ€™t want to say Iโ€™m comfortable because Iโ€™m not.โ€

On being an example for those who are coming up behind him:

โ€œAll I can do is be a great example for whoever is coming up behind me. Iโ€™m going to keep being me, Iโ€™m going to keep being great, and Iโ€™m going to keep being an example they can follow.โ€

On which talent in NXT currently stands out to him:

โ€œClose proximity, I would say Dion Lennox from Dark State, as far as prospects are concerned, heโ€™s definitely up there. Jeโ€™Von Evans is a constantly growing, constantly evolving talent thatโ€™s just going to get better with the years. Heโ€™s only 21 now, and God knows what heโ€™s going to be when heโ€™s 25, 26, 27 so thereโ€™s that.โ€

On Tavion Heights:

โ€œI think, in due time, Tavion Heights will also be in that conversation as well, building some momentum, getting some steam because Tavon Heights is good. He went to Japan and competed in NOAH. Heโ€™s done some really good things in his professional wrestling career, so I think heโ€™s right at the cusp of breaking the glass ceiling and starting to find his groove.โ€
