WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi spoke with Jim Varsallone about various topics, including his career in WWE and his personal growth.
Femi said, โI canโt fully say that Iโm all the way comfortable. Everyoneโs still growing and no one is ever just the best. No one is above growth. Everyone keeps learning every day, no matter how experienced you are. I donโt want to say Iโm comfortable because Iโm not.โ
On being an example for those who are coming up behind him:
โAll I can do is be a great example for whoever is coming up behind me. Iโm going to keep being me, Iโm going to keep being great, and Iโm going to keep being an example they can follow.โ
On which talent in NXT currently stands out to him:
โClose proximity, I would say Dion Lennox from Dark State, as far as prospects are concerned, heโs definitely up there. JeโVon Evans is a constantly growing, constantly evolving talent thatโs just going to get better with the years. Heโs only 21 now, and God knows what heโs going to be when heโs 25, 26, 27 so thereโs that.โ
On Tavion Heights:
โI think, in due time, Tavion Heights will also be in that conversation as well, building some momentum, getting some steam because Tavon Heights is good. He went to Japan and competed in NOAH. Heโs done some really good things in his professional wrestling career, so I think heโs right at the cusp of breaking the glass ceiling and starting to find his groove.โ
