The opening contest for tonight’s episode of NXT, which will be the second week of Gold Rush, has been confirmed by WWE.
The show will begin with NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton vs. Thea Hail. Hail won a battle royal to earn the title match on the June 6th episode of NXT.
Dana Brooke, who came in as a surprise participant, and Cora Jade appeared to be the final two stars in the match until Hail appeared and eliminated them both at the same time.
Seth Rollins retained the World Heavyweight Title over Bron Breakker on last week’s show.
The updated card is as follows:
* NXT Championship Match: Carmelo Hayes (champion) vs. Baron Corbin
* NXT Women’s Championship Match: Tiffany Stratton (champion) vs. Thea Hail
* NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Gallus (champions) vs. Malik Blade & Edris Enofe
* NXT Heritage Cup Match: Nathan Frazer defends against Dragon Lee
* Singles Match: Gigi Dolin vs. Kiana James
