AEW star and pro wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett is set to compete at the CMLL 93rd Anniversary Show, where he will face Blue Panther.
In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer (according to F4WOnline.com) said he is uncertain whether this is feasible, but he knows for a fact that Jarrett is very interested in more than just a one-time appearance. He aims to be a semi-regular presence rather than committing to every Friday, intending to work on a program and develop a significant match.
Meltzer compared Jarrett’s potential involvement to Johnny TV’s run in the promotion, suggesting that Jarrett hopes for a bigger outcome, though he acknowledges it may not happen.
Recently, Jarrett competed at Arena Mexico during the Grand Slam Mexico edition of AEW Dynamite, which also featured CMLL talent. He participated in a dark match, teaming with Brillante Jr., Máscara Dorada, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong against Nick Wayne, The Dogs (Clark Connors and David Finlay), and The Swirl (Blake Christian and Lee Johnson). Jarrett’s team emerged victorious.
