WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley recently spoke with Sportskeeda for an in-depth interview covering all things pro wrestling and WWE.
During the discussion, Rhea was asked if it’s difficult to be engaged in real life (to AEW’s Buddy Matthews/Murphy) and portray Dominik Mysterio on-screen:
She said, “To be honest, it’s pretty easy,” Rhea said about being engaged in real life while having an on-screen relationship. “Look, I love my fiance. I think he’s great, but when I’m at work, I am a completely different human being. When I’m at work, Dom is my partner. He is my partner in crime. He is my Latino heat, my Dirty Dominik Mysterio, and I will do absolutely anything I can to get him on top of anyone that he’s against. But yeah, for me, it’s sort of like a switch and he understands that as well. That’s why it works.”
What she whispers in Dominik Mysterio’s ear:
“I can’t tell you guys because then the secret is out of the bag and then people won’t talk about it anymore, but it’s pretty spicy stuff.”
Thoughts on Bray Wyatt:
“I didn’t really have too much time with Bray, but the time that I did have was very special. He was such a lovely dude. Like a genuine, nice, human being. When I first got called up to the main roster, obviously it was a very daunting experience. I was very timid and scared and saying hello to the Superstars out there was very, very scary for someone that was new coming from NXT, but he was someone that really opened his arms to everyone and he was so loving from the get go. He obviously gave me a hug and was just like, ‘I’m so happy you’re here’, and just was so warming that you felt like you knew him. Yeah, he was a lovely dude and he’s gone way too soon.”
