Following a WrestleMania 40 weekend that featured the Hall of Fame, NXT Stand & Deliver, Raw, and SmackDown events in Philadelphia, which will go down in history as a huge success, WWE is still riding high on momentum.

Following WrestleMania, WWE featured NXT Champion Ilja Dragounov and NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez in a singles match on Monday Night RAW, with the top NXT men’s star defeating Shinsuke Nakamura. At the same time, Perez defeated Indi Hartwell in a singles match.

This came after Stand & Deliver, where Dragunov retained the NXT Title over Tony D’Angelo and Perez dethroned Lyra Valeriya to win the NXT Women’s Title.

WWE NXT announced on Twitter that Perez is now the only two-time NXT Women’s Champion in history, alongside Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler. Perez has piqued the interest of fans and WWE management with her rapid advancement in such a short time.

With the WWE Draft coming up in a few weeks, she may not have long to wait for a main roster call-up.
