Former AEW star Andy Williams, known as The Butcher, recently participated in the Enjoy Wrestling Five-Year Anniversary event. It was reported that during the show, Williams collapsed and had to be taken out in an ambulance, requiring urgent medical assistance.
Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select confirmed this concerning news on social media, stating, “Andy Williams collapsed at a wrestling show tonight and required medical attention. Hoping for the best and keeping him in our thoughts.”
According to Fightful.com, fans in attendance noted that the match was progressing normally when The Butcher’s legs suddenly buckled, and he collapsed to the floor. Witnesses reported that his partner, The Blade, immediately signaled for help and tried to assist Williams in getting back on his feet.
However, Williams collapsed again and lost consciousness. Officials attempted to cool him down with ice, while paramedics performed chest compressions and used a defibrillator. Ultimately, Williams was taken away in an ambulance, and the remainder of the event was canceled.
