CMLL is currently riding a wave of momentum, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The promotion reportedly had a very productive week, with several of its shows selling out. Notably, this recent success came without the help of outside attractions, marking a shift from some of the company’s previous big draws.
For at least some of the events, one possible explanation for the strong attendance is the timing. As noted in the report, it was a holiday week in Mexico, with schools closed and many people on vacation — a factor that would mainly impact the events held at Arena Mexico.
Regardless of the reasons, CMLL’s surge in attendance reflects the company’s continued growth and the strength of its core product.
