WWE legend TJ Wilson recently appeared on an episode of the Out of Character podcast, where he talked about a number of topics including the conversation he had with Bray Wyatt prior to Bray’s WWE return in 2022.
Wilson said, โHe texted me and said, โHey, I think Iโm ready to get back in the ring a little bit.โ This is last August, actually. I said, โYea no problem.โ So weโre going back and forth and he was like, โWhen are you training?โ I said, โIโm training at this time, at five or six, but if you want to meet at noon, if you want to meet at one, Iโll meet you anytime.โ At first he was like, โOkay, letโs kind of do it privatelyโ, and then he was like, โActually, Iโll just show up at your practice.โ He did and he was so helpful with every person there. He kept pulling guys aside and giving them little bits of advice.โ
โHe pulled me aside and he said, โMan, I love what youโre doing here. Our minds combined, weโre gonna do some special things. This is a chance to do some very special stuff in the business. Then at that point, I donโt know if he was either kayfabing me or not. At this point, he was telling me he hadnโt quite re-signed yet and he wasnโt sure what was in the works. Then he did obviously re-sign. I remember I had a little talk with him maybe a few weeks after he re-signed and I was like, โMan, Iโm so excited for this runโ, and he said, โYes. This is going to be the run.โ I wholeheartedly believe if physically he had been good, I think he was about to really blow peopleโs minds.โ
