Tommy Dreamer On How Bad Creative Decisions Cost TNA Wrestling In The Past

ECW original Tommy Dreamer recently appeared on Busted Open Radio to talk about a number of topics, including being a part of some poor creative wrestling angles.

Dreamer said, โ€œI have been part of some really bad creative, Dave [LaGreca]. I have been part of dysfunctional โ€” Iโ€™m not saying this is AEW โ€” Iโ€™ve been part of a lot of some bad stuff, like, on paper, and looked at it and said, โ€˜God, this is horrible. Like, really bad.โ€™ And then I went out there and watched the men and women perform, the wrestling fans, they had no problem with what they had and saw.โ€

On how certain bad creative decisions cost TNA Wrestling in the past:

โ€œThen, Iโ€™ve also seen some really, really good shows and a few bad decisions cost [TNA] when they decided to not put the title on Bobby Roode. That was like the last straw for TNA, where the fans were just like, โ€˜I have to kinda stop with this because you keep on messing with me.โ€™ And it took them a long time to come back and build that trust. I donโ€™t think theyโ€™re there yet with AEW โ€” again, good sign, positive stuff.โ€
