All Elite Wrestling has loaded up tonight’s Dynamite episode and has added something else that could boost its television ratings.
The show is being built around AEW President Tony Khan’s big announcement, which has been speculated to be the signing of Mercedes Mone or NJPW’s Kazuchika Okada, both of whom have expressed interest in All Elite Wrestling. Click here for a possible spoiler.
It’s also possible that the signing or announcement of Dynamite being held in Boston, MA, the hometown of Mone, where she could then make her debut.
The biggest match confirmed for the show is Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page, with the winner receiving a World Title shot against champion Samoa Joe at Revolution next month.
AEW World Tag Team Champions Big Bill & Ricky Starks will face Sting & Darby Allin, Chris Jericho will face Konosuke Takeshita, Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli will face Mistico, Volador Jr. & Hechicero, and Toni Storm will face Red Velvet with Deonna Purrazzo on commentary in a Women’s World Title Eliminator Match.
Khan announced on Twitter that tonight’s show will feature a overrun, which usually results in a bump in the final quarter of the show due to fans tuning in for Dynamite.
