UFC 263 preview including Isreal Adesanya title defence

UFC 263 promises to be a huge night of entertaining UFC action as there are a number of stellar fights on what is a stacked card.

With the event scheduled to take place on 12 June, there will be many new bettors that are looking forward to using their betting bonus on the contest between Isreal Adesanya and Marvin Vettori, as the current Middleweight Champion puts his title on the line.

Adesanya vs. Vettori a highly anticipated rematch

Indeed, the contest between the Nigerian – who goes by the nickname “The Last Stylebender” – and the Italian – who is known as “The Italian Dream” – is a highly anticipated contest, with both men having been impressive throughout their UFC careers.

The combined record between the two reads 37-4-1, with Adesanya having a 20-1-0 record that has elevated him to the #2 spot in the worldwide rankings at the 185lbs limit. However, what makes this UFC 263 clash all the more intriguing is the fact that the Nigerian recently suffered his first defeat in the Octagon, with Jan Blachowicz having won via unanimous decision as recently as March.

Despite that defeat – and the fact that “The Italian Dream” is undefeated in his last five bouts – the champion is expected to retain his Middleweight title, although that might be down to the fact that the two squared off against each other back in 2018, with “The Last Sylebender” coming out victorious at UFC Fight Night on FOX 29 via a split decision.

Furthermore, Adesanya has a number of advantages over Vettori when it comes to the tale of the tape, with more height, thus more reach, as well as age over the Italian.

UFC 263 has a stacked card that sees plenty of top fights scheduled

As mentioned, the upcoming UFC 263 event in June promises to be a top night of MMA action, as there are a number of events scheduled to take place, with each offering some highly entertaining value.

In addition to the main event between Adesanya and Vettori, the night has another that will see Deiveson Figueiredo take on Brandon Moreno as the former looks to defend his UFC Flyweight Championship. The match could arguably be better than the main event, as this bout will see the #1 ranked worldwide flyweight fighter go up against his challenger, who is ranked just behind him as the #2 worldwide.

Figueiredo has a record of 20-1-1 heading into the contest with the Mexican, who has an overall record that sits at 18-5-2 in a match-up that looks pretty equal; although many will likely favour the Brazilian to retain this title on the night.

Other fights include the Light Heavyweight bout between Paul Craig and Jamahal Hill, as well as the Welterweight clash between Leon Edwards and Nate Diaz.
