As PWMania.com previously reported, Bayley suffered an injury while working a WWE live event in Salisbury, MD, on Sunday night, in a four-way match with Charlotte Flair, Women’s World Champion Asuka, and Bianca Belair.
The injury occurred when Asuka fell, and it appeared that Bayley stopped to avoid running over her and fell. It wasn’t a contact injury. When the referee threw up a “X” to signal to the back that Bayley was hurt, the match was cut short and they went straight to the finish.
During a Q&A, Pwinsider’s Mike Johnson stated that WWE is awaiting medical tests before deciding on a course of action regarding the injury.
Johnson wrote, “I was told that they were waiting to get some medical tests back so they could properly diagnose and decide on a course of action. I would hope the fact she walked out of the arena that night under her own power, even limping, is a good sign.”
