After this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown went off the air, Intercontinental Champion Gunther defeated Cameron Grimes in a dark match.
Following his victory, Gunther made a promotional video, which was interrupted by R-Truth. A fight broke out, and R-Truth defeated Gunther by using John Cena’s signature moves. Gunther retreated as R-Truth’s music played.
