WWE recently submitted a trademark application for the name “Vice City” on Tuesday, August 4, according to a report from Fightful.com. This trademark is intended for entertainment services, specifically for wrestling exhibitions and performances by professional wrestlers and entertainers. It also covers the provision of wrestling news and information through a global computer network.
The term “Vice City” is associated with the former NXT Women’s Champion, Lola Vice, and this application suggests that she may soon transition to the main roster.
In her most recent match, Vice lost an NXT Underground Match to Kendal Grey, failing to regain the NXT Women’s Championship, which she had lost at The Great American Bash this past June. Additionally, she was previously one-half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions alongside Mr. Iguana; the duo was dethroned by Laredo Kid and La Hiedra at AAA Verano de Escándalo Week One last month.
Following her match, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline reported that Vice is expected to join the SmackDown brand soon. She bid farewell to the NXT audience after her defeat to Grey and was met by her real-life boyfriend, Damian Priest, afterward.
