A WWE Raw star will be out of action for an extended period.

According to WWE Monday Night RAW’s Michael Cole, Imperium member Giovanni Vinci will be out of action for a “number of weeks” after suffering an injury on last week’s show.

Vinci was in a match with Kofi Kingston last week, but it was called off by the referee and the doctor at ringside after Vinci took a dropkick from Kingston and landed badly in the ring. It was unclear what type of injury he sustained, but the video appears to show Vinci landing on the back of his head.

This week on RAW, Kingston and Ludwig Kaiser wrestled to a double count out while fighting around the ringside area. Kaiser displayed a more vicious side of himself when he delivered a running dropkick to Kingston’s head, sending him into the steel steps. Kaiser was avenging the death of his tag team partner, according to reports.

It was also announced that GUNTHER will return next week after taking several weeks off, which is thought to be due to the birth of his baby. There is no word on when Vinci will be back in action.
