WWE Reportedly Considering Major Change To WWE Money In The Bank

According to reports, WWE has considered including Charlotte Flair in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

According to a new report from PWInsider, a WWE creative pitch was floating around on Friday that would see Flair replace Zelina Vega in the Women’s Money In the Bank Ladder Match.

It’s unclear whether they’re moving forward with the change, but there was nothing in that direction on Friday night’s SmackDown. It’s always possible that they filmed an angle with Flair and Vega for digital or that they’ll do a late angle during today’s Premium Live Event.

Flair appeared on this week’s SmackDown in London, where she was defeated by WWE Women’s Champion Asuka by DQ with the title on the line. Bianca Belair attacked Asuka at ringside, immediately after Flair inadvertently hit a big boot on Belair when Asuka moved. Blair took out Flair and Asuka at the end of the segment. Vega made a brief appearance on SmackDown during Bayley vs. Shotzi, a match in which Bayley put her Money In the Bank Ladder Match spot on the line.

The 2023 WWE Money In the Bank Premium Live Event will take place today, July 1, from London, England’s The O2 Arena. We will begin live coverage at 2 p.m. ET with the Kickoff pre-show.
