15 Arrested After Massive Brawl Breaks Out At MMA Event

According to Fresnobee.com, 15 individuals were arrested after a brawl involving approximately 100 people broke out during a 559 Fights MMA event in Visalia, California. The incident occurred at the Visalia Convention Center, leading to the cancellation of the Next Gen 4 event. A total of 26 police officers from the Visalia Police Department responded to the scene, with additional assistance from deputies of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.

During the response, three Visalia police officers sustained minor injuries; however, all three are expected to recover. Police departments from Farmersville and Exeter also dispatched officers to help manage the situation. The 15 individuals arrested following the incident were booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility.

In response to the events that unfolded during the MMA event, 559 Fights later issued a press release addressing the situation, saying:

“For more than 15 years and over 100 events, we have maintained a strong record of providing a safe environment for our fighters, coaches, staff and fans. Safety has always been — and will remain — one of our highest priorities. This behavior does not represent 559 Fights, our athletes, or the overwhelming majority of our fans.”
