WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray (Bubba Ray Dudley) and ECW original Tommy Dreamer recently appeared on an episode of Busted Open Radio, where they talked about a number of topics including the working relationship between WWE and TNA Wrestling.
Ray said, โ60-40 in โNXTโs favor.โ โAnd I think thatโs good for TNA. Because itโs โNXT,โ the bigger company, allowing TNA, the smaller company, to play in their sandbox. And if you can play in their sandbox, and youโre getting 40% of the shine, I think thatโs really good. Because it would be very easy for TNA to come into โNXTโ territory and โNXTโ basically say, โHey, this is the way weโre doing it whether you like it or not.โ โฆ but I think โNXT,โ I think Triple H, the powers-that-be, are being very gracious.โ
Dreamer added, โThese are different ways of taking care of your talent. Because youโre not gonna say, โHey, we lost the Super Bowlโ โฆ when they review the losers, what do they do? โMan, when we landed, we had 40,000 people at the airport celebrating us, celebrating what a game we hadโฆ.I pay no attention to that stuff โฆ but I know networks do.โ
