Mercedes Moné Set To Make Wrestling History

Mercedes Mone continues to solidify her legacy in professional wrestling, currently holding the AEW TBS Championship, the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, and the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.

Having already competed in some of the most iconic venues around the world — including Madison Square Garden, the Tokyo Dome, and Wembley Stadium — Mone now has the opportunity to achieve a rare historical milestone.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, if Mone competes at the upcoming AEW Grand Slam: Mexico event with CMLL on June 18th at Arena Mexico, she would make history:

“In our listing of wrestlers who will complete the foursome of wrestling in Madison Square Garden, the Tokyo Dome and Wembley Stadium as well as Arena Mexico, Mercedes Mone is another that will be added to the list with Arena Mexico. She would become the first woman in history to wrestle in all four of those buildings.”

In addition to this potential landmark, Mone is also scheduled to face Jamie Hayter in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament at the upcoming Double or Nothing pay-per-view, further underscoring her growing list of accomplishments within AEW.
