According to Fightful Select, Skye Blue was backstage at this week’s AEW Dynamite taping in Norfolk, Virginia. While it remains unclear whether she was there in an official capacity or simply visiting, the appearance has fueled speculation about her in-ring return.
The 24-year-old star has been out of action since suffering a broken ankle during a match on AEW Collision in July 2024. Her absence has been felt, particularly as AEW’s women’s division continues to evolve with multiple title storylines and the ongoing Owen Hart Cup buildup.
Fightful’s report notes that AEW is hoping for Blue to return to action sometime in May, with a particular target date being the May 14th edition of Dynamite. That show will take place in Chicago, Skye Blue’s hometown, making it a potentially emotional and impactful setting for her comeback.
There is currently no confirmation on whether Blue is medically cleared, but her presence backstage is viewed as a positive sign that her recovery is nearing completion.
