In the opening segment of Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite — the go-home episode ahead of Double or Nothing — Will Ospreay and “Hangman” Adam Page, the finalists in the men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, came face-to-face in an intense confrontation.
Hangman delivered a passionate promo, admitting that he’s spent the last two years consumed by grief, sorrow, and hate, and now needs this victory more than ever. In response, Ospreay urged Page to bring his absolute best — specifically, the version of himself that defeated Jon Moxley — when they clash this Sunday.
Later in the show, it was officially announced that Ospreay vs. Hangman will main event the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
