WWE RAW commentator and former NFL star Pat McAfee has been noticeably absent from WWE television over the past three weeks. During a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, the multi-talented broadcaster opened up about his current hiatus from the red brand commentary desk.
“I will not be commentating,” McAfee said. “Continuing to catch up on life as a whole. Post-Money in the Bank, Pre-Night of Champions. Feels like a good time. I was getting pretty exhausted there. Shoutout to everybody in WWE looking out for me, too. Very thankful.”
Although speculation has surfaced that McAfee may return next week, there is currently no official confirmation regarding his comeback. In McAfee’s absence, Wade Barrett filled in three weeks ago, while Corey Graves has taken over commentary duties for the past two weeks.
McAfee originally returned to WWE full-time earlier this year as part of the RAW announce team after previously contributing as a commentator on SmackDown.
