News On How Much Money AEW Lost On Its Fight Forever Video Game

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) launched its Fight Forever video game in June 2023. Despite AEW President and CEO Tony Khan expressing a strong desire to enter the video game market, a sequel has not yet been announced.

Mike Straw, the executive editor of Insider Gaming, recently disclosed on YouTube that the company lost around $30 million due to development delays and disappointing sales. Originally scheduled for release in 2022, the launch was postponed to June 29, 2023, due to a combination of internal and external factors. Straw mentioned that Fight Forever sold only half of the units AEW had initially projected, contributing significantly to the financial losses.

Additionally, Straw reported that AEW no longer has a contract with the studio Yuke’s, which developed the game. However, AEW still owns the game’s engine and has reportedly begun reaching out to other companies to create a new wrestling game. When Straw contacted AEW sources for confirmation, he was told they had no information on it.
