AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has confirmed that AEW Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale has suffered a hand injury but still plans to defend her title against Mercedes Moné at the 2026 All In: London pay-per-view (PPV) event this Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Nightingale recently discussed her injury in an interview with POST Wrestling’s John Pollock, where it was noted that her hand appeared to be in a cast.
Nightingale said, “Um, well she’s broken. I have to go get an X-ray later today to figure out the severity of that. Because that would then inform just how guarded it has to be on Sunday. Whether I’m able to get any kind of like, wrist flexibility or just hands, or if I’m going to kind of have a situation like this where I’m just a stump. So we’ll see, we’ll see. But the heart is good. She’s full of love and passion, and ready to fight. There was a second — Mercedes, right? Mercedes — angry, mean woman, stomping on it, throwing the title at it, hitting it with a chair. That part? Disheartening, but not surprising. Yeah.”
